Drawn as a present for my friends and their baby son, Maverick.
I really wanted to go for the theme of a animal or animals sitting under a tree with stars hung from it. My original idea was for a little elephant, but in the end I decided to go for a baby and a parent giraffe. I really wanted to give it a cute, simple feel, similar to that which you often see on greetings cards for young children.
